6 Week Classes
All classes will meet weekly at their designated time. Students enrolled in a pottery class are also welcome to use the studio during Open Studio hours on Saturdays. All experience levels welcome! Our hand building and wheel throwing classes are intended for adults (ages 16 and up) unless they are listed as family or youth classes.
Students will have access to a slab roller, clay extruder, work tables, glaze area, sink and Shimpo and Brent pottery wheels, including one wheelchair accessible pottery wheel. The studio is also equipped with an electric kiln and clay mixer.
Students will use their own tools during class. A tool set can be purchased from the studio or you may bring your own tools with you. A limited number of lockers are available to store supplies, please bring your own lock. (Tools will be provided for workshops and special events)
Have fun getting messy while learning the quintessential ceramic technique of making pottery on a pottery wheel. This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of using the wheel to center, pull a wall, and create basic forms. If you have taken the class previously, you will be able to improve on your basic skills and learn new techniques. Make your own plates, bowls, cups and more! All skill levels welcome, no experience necessary.
This class includes 6 weeks of instruction, 25 lbs of clay, glazing and firing.
Tuesdays, 6-8:30pm - May 5 - June 9
